African sculpture varies greatly across the land of Africa, this results in many different styles of African Sculpture. It also determines what materials such as the type of clay, were used to create the sculpture. African sculpture is a very old form of cultural sculpture from the various tribes that live and have lived in Africa. Sculptures serve a variety of purposes such as gifts to warlords, wedding gifts, spiritual icons and many others.
